Fully honest here, We only need one Rec Room revival. Why are there so damn many of them?? Most of these revivals are just there so either, people feel like they have power over a revival, or they just want to feel important in the space and have some special “rights” over others.

Not to mention, most of these revivals have the worst staff, moderation, and security. Most of them dont even obfuscate their patch dlls (you can very easily get photon ids this way) and you can just put your own plugins there after you remove their protection. It’s very clear that most of these people probably don’t really care about the game, and just want to have a revival to feel special.

For example, Crimson (formerly Vanadium) for a while had their patch unobfuscated and for the most part you could do whatever the hell you wanted. They got a whole bunch of drama with things that I dont really want to say, since for the most part it’s genuienly disgusting. Now, I haven’t experienced their mod team, but I’ve heard others get banned for no reason other than the mods wanted to. Take that as you will!

Second, RecQuiem.

RecQuiem pictured themselves as the “Rec Room 2” (which, based off their development footage is not even CLOSE to true), they very closely copied redux’s website, which was quickly taken down for a website that is hosted on vercel. They also used AI to copy Coach’s voice.

I genuienly didn’t know this one existed, but it seems fake and if it isn’t, it just seems like some random kid trying to get some feeling of power, or just wanting to seem special in the revival scene. They also copied Coach’s voice with AI.

Rec Room Legacy

now, I haven’t joined their dc server, but from what i can tell their founder is already not the best person to be up there. In Cheezit’s dc server, these messages were sent out:
